In June 2004, Salt Lake City Police Detective Heather Stringfellow was named Executive Director of the Rape Recovery Center. Ms. Stringfellow has 12 years’ experience in law enforcement, garnering an award-winning criminal investigation record. She is a leader in the criminal justice community, involved in victim advocacy and public awareness of sex assault and domestic violence. She has a Master’s degree in Public Administration at the University of Utah and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She has served on numerous councils and committees, including the Utah Sexual Violence Council, Utah Domestic Violence Advisory Council, the Utah Council on Victims of Crime and the Utah Council on Sexual Assault Victims and Offenders. She is co-author of the Guide for Utah Law Enforcement to Crimes of Sexual Assault and the Sex Crimes Investigator’s Manual.
